		<description>I remember working with HP-UX on a daily basis and went through similar experiences trying to get things to work.  If only you could just install RPMs or better yet, a simple 

perl -MCPAN -e 'install DBD:mysql'

		<description>Yeah, I tried that initially but since it's just an automated way to compile and install the module it failed. It'd be great if it really was that simple.
